You will be whisked out of Reykjavik in search of a night sky that is free of city lights because the darkness enhances the beauty of the Aurora Borealis. This spectacular natural phenomenon is best enjoyed well away from any light source. Before continuing our search for the Northern Lights, we head down to black sandy beaches to gaze at the sky along the southern coast, sample Icelandic Schnapps and taste other Icelandic delicacies. The next stop takes us to one of Iceland’s most renowned seafood restaurants for an unforgettable lobster feast. Icelandic lobster, langoustine, is smaller than the American lobster and has a sweet, delicate flavor.  Once our taste buds have been entertained and our bellies are full, the search will continue for those mysterious lights in the winter sky all the way back to Reykjavík.*
