  • Itinerary:

Day 1: Reykjavík – Golden Circle – Laugarvatn
After leaving the lively downtown area, we head off to the famous Golden Circle. Our first stop is the historical Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, located on the Mid-Atlantic ridge. Next, we visit the Geyser area, where Strokkur geyser shoots boiling hot water almost 25 meters into the air.  The last stop on the Golden Circle is at the magnificent waterfall Gullfoss. Following our exploration of these natural wonders, we visit the Laugarvatn Fontana spa to take a dip in its steam baths and open air hot pools. These activities will have worked up our appetite, so we head over to the local restaurant for a delicious traditional tastes plate. After rousing our taste buds with that appetizer, we drive to our hotel for dinner and keep a lookout for the majestic Northern Lights.

    Day 2: Eyjafjallajökull – Sólheimajökull – Reykjavík
Today, our drive starts towards the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano. At the foot of the volcano, we turn inland and head all the way up to Gígjökull, an outlet glacier that cascades from the Eyjafjallajökull Crater. Continuing east, we will arrive at the Sólheimajökull glacier, where we go on the Blue Ice Glacier Walk (1h30). During this easy Glacier Walk, you will witness the deep crevasses, volcanic ash and ice sculptures that make glaciers in Iceland so unique. On our way back to Reykjavík, we visit the impressive waterfalls Skógarfoss and Seljalandsfoss.

This schedule may change due to weather and conditions.

Please note that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and sightings are not guaranteed.
