Day 0: (11.03.2012): Arrival in Iceland, accommodations at a comfortable guesthouse centrally located in Reykjavik, double room and shared facilities.
At 18:00, Hélène will pick us up at our guesthouse and take us to a fiberlicious “Meet and greet” at the Handknitting Association of Iceland only a short walk away.
Day 1 (12.03.2012): Departure for Landmannalaugar highland hut where we will spend the next days and nights knitting and enjoying the fabulous landscapes in this magnificent area. At Landmannalaugar we will enjoy the luxury of a hot natural pool that allows for stargazing or simply relaxing in the night. Sleeping bag accommodations. The transfer will be in a Superjeep as the roads are all closed to normal traffic due to snow conditions
Day 2 (13.03.2012): A day of knitting with an excursion for example up the ryolite lava field of Laugahraun. Evening in the hot pool watching for northern lights dancing in the mountains. Sleeping bag accommodations.
Day 3 (14.03.2012): Another day of knitting and why not taking a walk in one of the colorful gullies and gorges in the surroundings? Wholesome Icelandic food. Sleeping bag accommodations.
Day 4 (15.03.2012): Today we could have a look at an explosive crater but we will knit some more for sure! Sleeping bag accommodations.
Day 5 (16.03.2012): Our last day of knitting with short excursion outdoors. Sleeping bag accommodations.
Day 6 (17.03.2012): Today, we return to Reykjavík. Arrival in the late afternoon, depending on the road conditions. Accommodations at a comfortable guesthouse centrally located in Reykjavík, double rooms, shared facilities.
