  • Description:

Big on Iceland but short on time? This super jeep tour explores the magnificent sights along the southern part of the country. We kick off the day with a scenic drive that features moss covered landscapes, bubbling hot springs, majestic mountains, and a stop at the breathtaking Skógafoss waterfall. As you stand in awe of this impressive spectacle of free flowing water rushing off the edge of a cliff towards the ground, you will understand why Iceland is considered such a spellbinding place. The vast and alluring famous black sand beach Reynisfara awaits us on our next stop. There, you will see the unique and towering basalt columns that sit along the coast. These columns are said to have inspired the design for the famous Hallgrimskirkja church in Reykjavík. On our stop to the majestic Seljalandfoss waterfall, we will have the chance to go behind the waterfall and feel the light spray of fresh Icelandic water melting from nearby glaciers.

Along this south coast adventure, we venture beyond the beaten path as our modified 4x4 goes off road to ford various glacial rivers and easily cross paths that are not accessible by normal cars or buses.  After a day of experiencing some of the gems of the south coast, we will surely have worked up an appetite.  We stop at a local restaurant for a delicious meal and Irish coffee before heading off to hunt for the Northern Lights. This natural phenomenon is best seen during our dark winter nights. While we make every effort to view the Northern Lights, there is no guarantee that they will appear.

Included: Driver-tour guide, dinner and irish coffee.

Not included: Drinks at dinner. Note: Bring warm and rainproof clothing.
