5-day knitting away from home in the North of Iceland
This wonderful tour will take us to the North of Iceland stopping by at the truly beautiful Textile Museum in Blönduós and its impressive collections of handknits. Our home away from home will be a truly charming country hotel in Skjaldarvík with a fantastic view over the fjord Eyjafjörður. Alternating with peacefull knitting workshop, we’ll visit the region’s many natural wonders such as the incredible mudpots of Námskarð or Lake Mývatn. Lake Mývatn´s natural beauty, the variety of flora, fauna and landscape make it a truly unique place in the world. We will relax in the Thermal baths, the blue lagoon of the North and spend an afternoon in Akureyri, the capital of the midnight sun. On our way back to Reykjavik, we’ll take the highland road and have an unlikely bath in the middle of nowhere. The journey will end with a visit to the great Geyser and a stop at the famous Gullfoss waterfall.
Accommodation in country hotel.
Bring your companion with you! Non-knitters are most welcome and will be able to go horse riding (on location in Skjaldarvík) or relax or do whatever they want during the knitting workshops.
